Long Form Text

Long form text is used for columns of copy meant for reading, such as an article, a press release, instructions, or other descriptive material.

Overview

Building on Indigo's typographic base, long form text applies vertical spacing to optimize readability and scanability of long blocks of prose.

These long form text guidelines are designed to ensure consistency across all USAC products. See the Typography page for a detailed list of Indigo text styles.

Design and Layout

To use the Long Form Text component, enclose basic HTML tags—such as <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, <h4>, <h5>, <p>, <ul>, <ol>, img and <a> —within a block with the class class="indi-long-form-text". This class adds styling to maintain consistent typography and spacing across all components.

Avoid placing other Indigo components inside the Long Form Text container. Instead, close each block appropriately to include only long form text elements. See the example in the Overview section.
